By default, the timeline displays the 24 hour period during which the first recording for the selected camera occurs.

If you have a mouse with a scroll button, you can zoom in and out quickly on the timeline.

Position your mouse over the area of the timeline you want to view in more detail, and move the scroll button forward to zoom in, and backward to zoom out.
