A Virtual Matrix software module that runs on dedicated PCs and can be controlled by Quorum View or used as a standalone solution. Quorum Wall enables the user to view IP video streams on multiple video panes, providing security operators with increased flexibility, and access to network video 24/7. Multiple Video Walls can be connected to the IP network, enabling centralized management with 25 displayed streams of video per module.

Technology
Quorum Wall supports IP video streams from different camera and encoder manufacturers, offering high performance decoding of MJPEG, MPEG4, H.264, MxPEG, MPEG2, and Wavelet: ADV601 and ADV202 (JPEG-2000).

Flexible
Quorum Wall also offers a wide range of video pane layout options. A simple user interface allows users to switch easily from single view through to 5x5 view.
Possibly the most flexible viewing option is a motion-event driven mode, where video feeds are displayed, hidden and the layout managed automatically, ensuring operators are presented with surveillance-worthy viewing at all times.

Quorum Wall is a Windows 7/Vista/XP service application that transforms a general purpose PC into a turnkey product that can simultaneously display video from several different brands of video encoder sources over the network.

Quorum Wall delivers up to 25 streams of encoded video at 2CIF resolution in native format. Several common video pane display layouts are available. Quorum Wall also has a motion-event activated mode where display of video sources and layouts are managed automatically.

PC Specification
Quorum Wall extracts maximum performance from Windows PCs. Choose PCs optimised for high performance video display tasks.

Typical Quorum Wall PC:

  • Single, dual or quad head DVI/VGA output
  • CPU 2.4 GHz, or greater, for example, Intel CoreTM 2 Quad Processor Q6600.
  • RAM 4GB.
  • Hard disk drive 5600 RPM, 500GB.
  • Network card: 1000 Base-T full duplex.
  • Graphics card: high performance graphic system with Direct Draw hardware acceleration and Direct 3D hardware acceleration, for example, 2 x nVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT 256MB DDR2 (or equivalent).

What you need to get started

Direct-3D hardware support and Microsoft Direct-X 9.0c or above
Quorum Wall depends heavily on the PC's graphics sub-system. To perform well, the graphics sub-system must be capable of hardware accelerated Direct 3D rendering of multiple surfaces.

Net framework and .Net Managed Direct-X. Installed
Quorum Wall uses Microsoft's .Net Framework to provide high levels of application robustness, security and efficiency. Quorum Wall automatically downloads the necessary .Net Framework 3.5 components when setting up the Video Wall server.

Licensing
The Quorum Wall licence ID can be delivered on CD or accessed via the Internet. All the information required to get you up and running is supplied, including access to our support team if required. A licence is required for each installation on a PC. Each licence delivers up to 25 streams of video output to your display device. With the appropriate hardware you can stream the 25 video outputs over four monitors.
