Quorum Site

Quorum Site is part of the Quorum Suite of products and is a self-contained configuration application which works in conjunction with Quorum Pro to provide comprehensive control and management of live and recorded video.

Device Discovery

Adding devices to a site can be a long and tedious task, especially for large surveillance sites. Quorum Site provides a device discovery mechanism, which scans the network and lists discovered devices.

Adding devices is a simple process. The device's type, suggested name, IP address and location details are automatically inserted by Quorum Site.

Audit Trail

Quorum Site's audit trail provides a comprehensive list of events that have occurred since the server component was installed. Events such as the following are logged:

• Alarms (acknowledgement, closed).
• Users (added, deleted, edited etc.).
• Devices (added, updated, deleted, disconnected etc.).
• Recording (disk space low or critical).

Certain events may be of more interest to you than others. Audit trail profiles allow you to specify which events you want to display in the audit trail. Furthermore, events can filtered according to event type and/or time. Audit trail reports in Adobe Acrobat PDF format can then be generated from the filtered events list.

Site Backup and Restore

Quorum Sites configuration data can be backed up. If data corruption or PC problems occur, a working system can easily be restored from the configuration backup.

Alternatively, configuration backups can be used to copy configuration from one server to another.

The following configuration data is backed up:

• User names and groups.
• Devices.
• Recording jobs and partition details.
• Mapsets.
• Sequences.
• Complex alarms.

Complex Alarm Creation

Complex alarms can be created by combining simple alarms and time schedules to form more complex alarm processing logic. An intuitive visual interface makes this easy to create and manage.

Parts of existing complex alarms can be copied and pasted into new alarms, reducing errors and speeding up the time spent on system setup.

Recording Job Creation

This system configuration tool helps you through the steps required to create recording jobs. Helpful prompts explain any difficult concepts, reducing the time needed for recording job creation and speeding up the site setup process.

Mapset Integration

Allow users to visualise surveillance sites by adding maps of monitored areas. Maps can initially be created with Quorum Design, then uploaded using Quorum Site.

Sequences

Add cameras to a sequence to display them in a continuous loop using the Quorum Pro application. You can specify how long each camera should be displayed on screen before the next appears. Key cameras can be added to a sequence more than once, ensuring that all areas have the required coverage.
